This! When the bunch of us went into ranking today, we went in ID order. You could see it quite clearly when we were posting it. All that means is a batch of us in ID order got set to ranking. We do not know if this means we didn’t get it or we got it. It does mean we should have (theoretically) gotten over 70%. The people who have not switched to ranking may be in another batch set in ID order, be changed but it is not showing in the link (many reasons here including your browser), or for some reason not have passed the 70 threshold.evolved wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:31 pmThe time of the updates was clearly related to the ID of the proposal. But as I said, there is simply no trend as we are dealing with out of date info.
Bren wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:29 pmNo, its the opposite. they start at 100% and then count backwards until the available funding is gone, that's how they reach the cut off point. So, if we assume your process has logic, then the earlier ranked got the highest scores. However, I think all this speculation is just that: speculation. None of us know shit.

A random small Uni (actually research centre technically) in central Ireland. So that probably hurts my chances. But my project is with an industry robotics partner in the area of Industry 4.0 and they have a lot of good research coming out of there in the field and the industry partner is all in for my proposed project.
I’m currently working in a uni in the UK, so it won’t be too much of a jump if I get it.

I am not applying with a big school either but is well known in the area of application. Possibilities of partnership with industry in the project and a good transfer of knowledge is what iam pinning my hopes on. I am based in Paris France for the moment.

Ah central Ireland, love it. Do pay the odd visit to Dublin though.

I really wouldn't worry about the size of the school or any stuff like that. Hopefully your experts have a good knowledge of the field and appreciate the nuances of your proposal.

I adore Dublin actually. I’ve only been once. I visited a friend’s mother and had a magical Christmas. If I don’t get it, at least I just took a position in the UK, so I can hop over to Ireland more! It’s actually going to be a tough decision if I get offered it because my new job is quite good to me. :/Bren wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:49 pmAh central Ireland, love it. The UK is a great place, so many good people there, in all parts. Have to say though my favourite non-Irish place is Cologne, and Germany in general. My wife is from Cologne (Koln), and I worked in Berlin for 5 years and that was pretty cool (even though I just cannot stand hipsters!).
