Out of curiosity, has anyone found similar statistics for the Widening grants? Wondering if they were marginally or significantly lower?

After reading this document, I think they have decided before. Here you can find a presentation with the budget allocation for MSCA-IF-2018 and MSCA-IF-2019:

I just posted this years submission stats higher up in this thread. Anyone know if they decide the budget allocation between panels before or after the stats are released?

Found it myself after a bit of searching: "scores of proposals retained for funding range from 90.2 to 92.6" in the Widening call.

Success rate in IF for widening countries: IF 2017 8,6%
IF 2018 6,5% => 10,7% IF + WF

Interesting - thanks for the link.
But remember that a direct percentage comparison hides that each fellowship has a different dynamic. WF that don't get onto the main list get a second go - and at that point only compete among their own WF group. Due to this, they are likely to skip above other IFs that weren't part of the WF even though the other IFs scored higher. It's a good deal for those applying from WF countries.

It's a 5m€ extra quota for those applying to universities that are located in the newer member states, awarded to applications with scores that fall just under the normal MC threshold in their discipline.

I just want to share my experience being on the reserve list of the 2018 call (IF-ENV). I was short of 0.2% from the cutoff, and ranked 8 out of 49 people from the list (ALL PANELS). I didn't have much hope that my proposal would move to the funding frame that's why I resubmitted for this year's call.

But after 9 months being on the reserve list, I've been invited for a grant preparation!!! :D

Hi,

Congratulations !

Curious to know, your proposal for IF-2018 ranked 8 in your panel (i.e. ENV) or all panel? Because I got my ranking for IF-2018 for CHE Panel only. I didn't get ranking from all panel.

Best Wishes for your next position.

I've been told by the NCP that it is for all panels. There are 49 people in the list. I don't know my position in the ENV panel list though.
