I just got the rejection letter for ENV-IF.
My score this year is 87.6% from 91% last year...
Most of the comments are way too general and of course it's obvious that the reviewers are different from previous years.
The whole thing is a huge lottery. It's like submitting your manuscript to a journal and the reviewers change between the different revision cycles.
It's a pity that on decent funding scheme like this, luck plays so huge role!
Congrats to everyone that was successful.
I am sorry to hear that. Thank you so much for sharing your personal experience.

indeed! Here is an example of what I have received:

This year's weakness: - The state-of-the-art is not developed comprehensively enough (the project description does not adequately consider the newest sources published in recent years).

(the same proposal) Last year's Strength: - The introduction and overview of the research project are very well clarified.

My fiancé just got his acceptance email! GF-SOC.
Went to RANKING just last week: the theory concerning RANKING vs. EVALUATION can be disproved, I guess.
Also, this was his second try. He scored 95% (was 85.8% last year), which means that (as for most grants, fellowships, etc) one just needs to hang in there.

3-1 so far and some slight indication that later EVALUATION---->RANKING change points to acceptance. Congrats to your fiancé ñ

Yep Rapaz, thanks for clarifying -- I meant that maybe the theory according to which LATER change from Evaluation to Ranking implied a rejection can be discarded.
