I just emailed the super-awesome NCP who had given me the results last year, and they said that, while they are no longer NCP and have no access to the results anymore, "IF results will come up tomorrow Friday at 05.00 PM"

good luck everyone!
That does not make sense: who will be sending emails/uploading the decision letters at website at Friday evening? Either tomorrow morning session or Monday/Tuesday seem reasonable timings.
In 2016 the results came at night , around 4am. It´s just the server, I think.
In 2017 the results came at mid-night, around 0:00 AM, Friday.

Guys do you know what is the net salary for a Marie Curie fellowship in Spain?
The gross salary seams great but I am not sure about the deductions...
There’s this page from the EU website that tells you the tax scales in each country: https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/w ... dex_en.htm

You can then easily calculate 😊

Thanx for the link!
Good luck

That link is very useful but many countries also have social insurance contributions, for example National Insurance in the UK and PRSI in ROI. Not only is your social insurance taken out of the MSCA salary allowance, but they also use it to cover the employer's contribution. However the MSCA salary is still very good relative to other postdoc salaries even with these deductions.

Hopefully no. We need a recap guys (and girls)!

Btw I think tax is between 40-45% for most countries on this level of gross salary...

I know a friend in Italy gets 2500Euro and has family allowance. So Italian taxes are really worse than UK....

So we are talking about approx. 2800 euro/month for Spain... Which is not bad at all. But 45% tax is a real theft!!!

Postdoctoral scholarships are tax-exempt in Belgium, in accordance with Royal Decree/WIB 92. (I want this fellowship so badly! )
