Yes danGFSOC the applications are less and the budget is higher. So hopefully we will have a better chance!

That is the thing about MC fellowships. There are so many good applications that you can never be confident about your application. I applied to the GF-SOC panel which closed at 95 points last year. It is the most competitive panel and only the best of the best will get it. Good luck to us all!

True! But don't loose hope now. We have more applications but they funded more as well...so the % was not that different. It is my first and only chance at MC, so I tried to make the most of it. But I'm sure the majority of candidates really put in an effort.
Although I guess that the GF and GF SOC this year will have a success rate that is significantly higher than previous years and other panels and actions this year

Why do you think so?
In the last years applications for GF were 900-1050 and budget less than 30 millions of euros. This year 858 and 33,7 millions of euros. GF SOC had the same or a very slight increase of applications in the last years that means that also this year at least 1/4 of the budget will go to GF SOC that means at least 35 fellowships (last year I think 30). We can suppose that this year GF SOC applications were between 220 (last year 221) and 250. It means 14-16% of success rate (last years 11%), which would be the highest success rate for the H2020 GF calls (and maybe also for the last FP7 Marie Curie calls).

Participant Portal Grant Management Services may be experiencing issues with Legal Entity and Bank Account validations on Monday, 22.01.2018, from 20:00 until 21:30 (CET).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
I think this is it...either we got the results or we will see some changes in the links with phase: evaluation..

Why do you think so?
In the last years applications for GF SOC were 900-1050 and budget less than 30 millions of euros. This year 858 and 34 millions of euros. GF SOC had the same or a very slight increase of applications in the last years that means that also this year at least 1/4 of the budget will go to GF SOC that means at least 35 fellowships (last year I think 30). We can suppose that this year GF SOC applications were between 220 (last year 221) to 250. I think the SE panel has something like 36% success rate so I guess this is the highest success rate in the MSCA calls

16+2+5..If you have brain you will understand
I still don't get it (16 years of education prior to University? 5 years of PhD?) but it's not important. What I am very interested in is the ranking of research groups that you mention. Can you provide with more information or is a ranking inside your head?
So you are saying education prior to university is not education? Thats the reason it takes time for some people to understand how one can write a research proposal in few days
Well one of the ranking system is here for you https://www.timeshighereducation.com/ne ... 90.article
Your link leads to a well-known ranking of institutions, not research groups. Can you point out to the research groups ranking that you mentioned in your post? Or it doesn't exist?

This is not time for noisy posts...please decrease the noise so we can get the maximum info from each other about the projects.
Good luck everyone!

Anybody could kindly provide same stats for Standard Fellowships for the 2017 call?

Budget, number of applications, possible percentage of success...
