There are so many good applications that you can never be confident about your application. I applied to the GF-SOC panel which closed at 95 points last year. It is the most competitive panel and only the best of the best will get it. Good luck to us all!
2017 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2017)
Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
Yes danGFSOC the applications are less and the budget is higher. So hopefully we will have a better chance!
Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
In the last years applications for GF were 900-1050 and budget less than 30 millions of euros. This year 858 and 33,7 millions of euros. GF SOC had the same or a very slight increase of applications in the last years that means that also this year at least 1/4 of the budget will go to GF SOC that means at least 35 fellowships (last year I think 30). We can suppose that this year GF SOC applications were between 220 (last year 221) and 250. It means 14-16% of success rate (last years 11%), which would be the highest success rate for the H2020 GF calls (and maybe also for the last FP7 Marie Curie calls).Amar wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:15 pmWhy do you think so?danGFSOC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:13 pmAlthough I guess that the GF and GF SOC this year will have a success rate that is significantly higher than previous years and other panels and actions this yearATBGF2017 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 5:49 pmThat is the thing about MC fellowships. I think this is it...either we got the results or we will see some changes in the links with phase: evaluation..
Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
I think the SE panel has something like 36% success rate so I guess this is the highest success rate in the MSCA callsdanGFSOC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:29 pmIn the last years applications for GF SOC were 900-1050 and budget less than 30 millions of euros. Your link leads to a well-known ranking of institutions, not research groups. Can you point out to the research groups ranking that you mentioned in your post? Or it doesn't exist?IF_IAMYOURS wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 6:09 pmSo you are saying education prior to university is not education? Thats the reason it takes time for some people to understand how one can write a research proposal in few daysFuriousAcademic wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 4:51 pmI still don't get it (16 years of education prior to University? 5 years of PhD?) but it's not important. What I am very interested in is the ranking of research groups that you mention. Can you provide with more information or is a ranking inside your head?
Well one of the ranking system is here for you https://www.timeshighereducation.com/ne ... 90.article

for previous years statistics, you can follow this link http://cache.media.education.gouv.fr/fi ... 750373.pdf
and yes, there is crazy 36% in the IF-EF-Society and enterprise panel for the 2016 call
