The nerves started kicking in today. This is attempt #2 for me. Reviews from last year were frustrating at first but, looking back, they were definitely helpful and I don't think I'll get the same weaknesses this year. Does anyone have experience, positive or negative, with multiple attempts? I've heard stories, maybe apocryphal ones, of the same proposal swinging from 92 to 78 to 98 from one year to the next. Surely a swing that large would only happen if panels in different years disagreed on the big stuff like the supervisor, the researcher and the main research questions.

My friend went from 88 to 64 in her second application. Pretty unexpected but it can happen...

I have only one shot at it as I've already moved to the postdoc location. Fingers crossed!!! Although I've heard that the chances are better on second round

MSCA results are usually announced at once or they inform selected candidates first individually ?

Wow that's one huge jump. Especially at 88, they must have been pretty disappointed.
I think an issue is that each time it's new people looking at your application - it's hard to write for every possible reader in such a limited space.

I had a chance to look at her applications. I think the reviewers in the first round liked her research topic (as it was really innovative) and graded her proposal based on that. However, other parts were pretty weak for a MSCA application. Reviewers in the following year probably took issue with that.

Does anyone knows when do we expect results for MC Individual Fellowship? Is that late January? Thanks

Hi guys, I'm happy to be in good company!
I read on other forums that last year the first results were known about January 20th, but something was known in the previous days by the National Contacts. Thresholds were already known, as well as the minimum scores for access and for the reserve list.
I am worried about the difference in scores in the different applications you are talking about, we must hope to have found the right evaluators.

In the last 3 years results were always sent by email on Fridays (January 22 and 27 in 2016 and 2017, February 6 in 2015). Maybe this year the same? So I guess January 19, 26 or February 2. Unlikely January 12 if they are still checking ethics issues as it seems.

Yes I guess you are right, more or less these are the dates. I have not found other online forum or discussions neither on social networks for 2017, if you have... share :D
