As the outcome is already in the subject of the EC email,
I wonder what is the subject when someone gets it.

I am prepared (maybe used) to get "Your proposal ID XXXXX; rejection".
Worst birthday ever: Sunday 7th, in lockdown, completely alone and with massive anxiety.

I bought 3 bottles of wine and 6 beers.

For a successful application the subject shall be: the number, the acronym, the evaluation results and the most important words 'start of grant agreement preparation'.

If you have in the subject these last words it means that you got the fellowship.

And among the documents uploaded in the EC system you may find one document with the first steps of the GA preparation.

It does have "rejected" in the subject line, yes . If you win, you will know because there will be three emails in a row (grant agreement stuff). But the reserve list is the worst, because you get something like "there's been a decision on your proposal" and not much else, so you frantically try to log into the EC portal to find it out, and you can't because everyone is doing the same and the system is down .

Anyhow, happy upcoming birthday!
