Hi everyone,

From my experience of the past years: ranking means you got above 70, evaluation you got less. Normally, they should fund all the projects above 70, that's why they do a ranking list. The evaluation process finished indeed around December, in January they made the list (main list, reserve list, etc). On February 4th the results were out, last year.

All results are sent in the same day, no matter the list, in the order of the application number. I don't know the numbers this year, I didn't apply, but the one with application number 1 will receive the results before the one with the application number 2. It takes many hours to sent out the results, there are thousands of applications every year.

Please check your page on the funding & tender portal, all the documents are there (project proposal, IERs, Ethics, etc). Last year the documents were posted before the official notification came out. I remember I knew I got the fellowship many hours before I got the official results.

Those who have been contacted before for their Ethics it means the EC is interested in their proposal and it gives them a chance to improve their Ethics. They might be at least on the reserve list.

And if you allow me a piece of advice: check immediately after it is out the MSCA programme in the new Horizon Europe. Chances to succeed are higher in the first one or two years of call application, because not many people know how it works, and so the number of applications is lower. This is how things were with Horizon 2020.

In previous threads there were a couple of people who stayed in Evaluation till the end and got it. I think @Brent? and also a friend of someone who posted here. And someone else, don't remember the nick.

I've also checked my old 2016 proposale with the magic link which got over 70% and rejected, and the status is INFORMATION, and it is also finished: false.

Honestly, I would be really surprised to get below 70% for the one of this year. It is not worse than my previous one, although true, the competition got much worse, but still.

I just want to mention that there are 2 groups of people who remain Evaluation currently.

One is a minor group like myself, CAR-LIF, kkk whose status changed to Evaluation early January and still in Evaluation without going to Ranking.

Another is a majority group whose status changed to Evaluation yesterday.

I don't know what is difference between these 2 different groups, maybe in the end the same..
But, it would be interesting how we end up... although I mostly lost my hope..

I am sorry to hear that our hero Dreamer is still in Evaluation, but hope you can make it!
