If host institutions already know the results, no much hope for me either... This forum has been an interesting discovery anyway. Always good to hear of people in similar situations.

I’m pretty sure I read that some heard rejection from their host...so I think it may just be that your host is silent.

Just a guess. From my point of view, if I were the supervisor I would tend to hide the info to the applicant, until the official release of results. Five or six days will make no difference as for planning alternatives, and this approach seems more elegant to me. Obviously, this is an opinion...

I don't think all the host institutions know about the results. It depends on whether or not the NCPs (that seem to know for sure at this point) had said anything about the outcome of the applications.

The decision to release or not release results by NCPs and people in host institutions is not related to success or failure in my opinion. I think its more a function of the personality of the individuals concerned. The Irish NCP for example clearly stated that she will not give anyone info before EC releases results. Similarly, the MCSA person in my host institution stated that she will not let anything slip to anyone under any circumstances.

That may be the case. However there are two things I know for sure: 1) The MCSA person in my host institution knows my results, and 2) My potential supervisor does not know my results, I spoke to him today and he hasn't heard anything.

I agree and confirm. Normally Host knows nothing. It is only possible if MSC responsible person from the Host has contacted their NCP (in the same way as some of the candidates here did the same and were lucky to have responses).
