Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
Shocked
I just got my result by phone from the host institution in UK.
IF ENG, scored 92.6; however sadly it was still not funded. Although its my first attempt, I was quite disappointed. I have very strong CV (20 IEEE journals in Telecom, with 2 JSAC), top supervisor at host, and very potential proposal. I spent about 7 months for this with very much of hopes.
At the very beginning I was very confident to get the fellowship, but not. Academic life is so uncertainty.
Good luck to everyone

I'm very sorry. Try next year, you have a very strong proposal.
How can be possible that they called you on Saturday?

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
As for some of the other posters, this is my 3rd attempt.
The first time I got 90.2 (just 2 points below funding), after working on the application for less than 3 weeks. Last year, I worked on it for 2 months and was in my opinion a much better proposal. Still I got a lower score (84.0). This 3rd time is my best proposal so far (that's what I think, anyway), but I am not placing much faith in it.
What I mean to convey is that the reviewers' evaluations make no sense (to me at least) and that the whole process is a lottery. This is also the opinion of other applicants I spoke to. One just has to hope to be lucky this time around. Some of you will be (statistically)

Yikes! If 92.6 isn’t getting funded, that’s crazy! Well now I have no hope. I guess that’s good that folks in the UK are finally getting answers!MSCA2018ABC wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 3:48 pmShocked

Another proof that CV is not crucial here. I think Excellence is the most important part and abstract as well. How many evaluators are checking our proposals?
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
sorry to hear about that. my rejection is on the way!
so, may I ask if you were in ranking? Could you share your first 3 digits of the id
Thanks
