Rejected, SOC, 87%.
The same score as two years ago.
A lot more weaknesses what is funny.
It is never enough if they do not like it.
I was an evaluator in a similar project and, yes, one crazy and grumpy evaluator can have a huge impact on the final score.
I am tired.

I've been watching the forum since discovering it around end of Jan.. thank you to all the personas for the comments and humour in these frustrating days..! you are cool
After many late nights today I didn't last and fell asleep early.. woke up at 4:30 and saw the email with the good news.
I had a well-prepared application and high hopes even though applying to a small country/institution.. in my case it is a return to academia after 10 years (CAR panel, 93.8%).
I might have had other options, but this is clearly the best one.
For those who didn't get it -- I know academia can be exhausting and full of disappointment. Human weaknesses and stupid policies tarnishing a noble endeavor. Don't give up hope subverting this rotten career system.
PS. so glad to communicate in a forum again.. reminds me the vintage days of internet

Hi all, I have been following this forum from page 10 but, this is my first post. It was nice to be with academics, who are in the same boat. I was EF-ST_CHE- 841***, score 88.60% (4.20, 4.90, 4.30), rejection, first attempt, got PhD in Feb 2018. Applied from Canada to France. I didn't know NCP can help. I wrote the proposal on my own. Thank you, everyone, for the information that I received on this forum. I will apply for the next call as well.
Is anyone willing to help read my proposal for the next call and provide comments? I would greatly appreciate.
Congratulations to all winners! All the best for runner-ups, you are equally competitive.
Cheers from Canada!
