I can understand that there is a high number of applications. But come on they manage to get them all evaluated by December and have the results quite early and then they take 3 months to send the emails. The system says 12 and they would better stick to it! Plus the whole thing with the NCPs. So many results were leaked out ....this is so much lack of professionalism from top to bottom... If we make a misspelling in our applications or are a minute late with the submission we don't get the fellowship and on the other side....If they manage to get the results out before 12 midnight we can't complain but if they don't I will for sure complain. Especially that they have the results and many applicants have them too. Why dont they just put them on the website or tell all NCPs to just tell us ....

I got a similar message form British NCP. It seems we should expect delay....

Hi guys,

I emailed the french NCP this morning, and she told me (direct translation):

"You'll get the results tomorrow, Tuesday 12th February, midnight at the latest
Sincerely
Morgane Bureau"

I’ve given up on expecting anything on any day. The official announcement is still by tomorrow midnight. So let’s just go off that. And expect we need to think about it as tomorrow night 11:59PM. I think they misspoke by saying midnight on the 12th which is tonight. They may have to just release a way they don’t want.

Any information about the CAR panel?
The CAR and RI weighting (2 and 1.5 times respectively) could explain the high cut-off for the Standard panels. So it is interesting to see if for both these panels the cut-off is lower than 90!

Got info from a colleague's home institution (Poland). Cut-offs for standard fellowships:

93.00 MSCA-IF-2018 ENG
92.40 MSCA-IF-2018 ENV
93.60 MSCA-IF-2018 LIF
92.60 MSCA-IF-2018 MAT
90.80 MSCA-IF-2018 PHY
92.60 MSCA-IF-2018 SOC

Any information about the cut-off for Chemistry panel ?
I am in CAR too. Would you care to explain the 2 and 1.5 weighing system you refer to, please?
Thanks a lot

Response from British NCP, received in the last few minutes:

"The results will be communicated with you directly by the EC. As you may be aware there was a substantial increase in the number of applications this year and the process is taking longer than expected. Our understanding is that the results are being released in batches and you should hear by the end of the week".
I'm not native English speaker so maybe I don't fully get the tone of "substantial" but the number of applications was increased from 9,089 in 2017 to 9830 in 2018 (total of +741 applications). I don't see that as such a huge increase that would justify major delays from the schedule announced in the call. :?

I just received this private message from the official MSCA twitter account

"thanks for messaging us and for pointing out the issue. The letters on the results of the IF call 2018 will be sent to all applicants by Tuesday 12 February midnight. Kind regards, the MSCA team"

No changes, they are still expecting to give us the results by tomorrow night!

I figured they wouldn’t change that. They may be punishing everyone for all the people that spam asked them when the results would be out. I’m not 100% sold that they were having an IT issue at all.

Is MSCA team in silent mode, or did people abandon the idea of trying contacting them? I'm not on twitter but they don't seem to say anything when checking their page.

They even have this delightful tweet from feb 9:
"Communication & dissemination are an important part of the research activity"
How ironical...

I think that they just started to stop annoucing the results earlier like in the past years, and they started to be pragmatic for once.
What is the point of having an official releasing date if you always announce the results randomly? This randomness is the reason of these 360 pages of anxiety.
