Didn't your productivity got affected by the time spent in this forum? Mine was for sure...

If we carry on our group, why don’t we move someplace like reddit? I think we could even get more people in our little academia support group.
+1
Or maybe better slack or discord?

Absolutely mine too! Mainly because of this anxiety of waiting for the results, not because of the forum :D

Hi, yes NCP emailed me the same. I guess he’s not one of the ones to give out info sooner :D
I haven’t asked host yet since most communication goes through my intended supervisor who is currently dealing with a death in the family. Figured I could handle a few more agonizing days of waiting (although I’m starting to doubt that now, lol, it better be tomorrow!).

On another note: Sweden is one of the countries that offers possibilities for those people who achieve the deal of excellence (85% or higher but not funded by EU)...

Thana2019 did you get anything from the ncp? He emailed me that the results will come by 12 on the 12th :))). Did you ask your host if they got anything? I did not ask mine...

That's why we need to keep this forum alive and make it bigger. There are a lot of mental health issues among academics and talking about it, seems to help people!

Plus all my imaginary friends told me to that together we can conquer Europe. Also sexy Marie Curie agrees.

It seems like the forum is turning into a therapy group for people in academia! There are too many vulnerable people (including me) pinning all their hopes on winning this f***ing fellowship! :(

I agree...people who do research for living must be a bit odd/off/weird/crazy/problematic, somehow....

I guess this is if you are moving to Sweden, i.e., host in Sweden, right?

I did some calculations and the acceptance rate is ~13% for EF, i.e., a really slim chance to be funded...
