We all need some reggaeton after these past days... :P

Wtf. Then I assume people would have been contacted by their (happy) host institution if they had gotten it! Ok fine. Need some reggaeton now.

To the best of my knowledge yes, but definitely NCPs.

There were folks posting on this forum today that they got results from host institution n Germany, on a Saturday! One guy got 92.6 ENG and he wasn't funded, check back a few pages if you want.

Guys, based on what I've seen so far, the people from the host institute also are copied to the same email that the applicant gets. How it can happen now that they know the results in advance?
Saturday   Results are everywhere then!! Good for the ones that got that

Question: If you get on the lower end of the reserve list (essentially out of the running), are there any ways to bolster your chances of getting funding?

Can you, for example, try to challenge the score to bring it up a point or two?

Asking for a friend ;)
If you find anything that would show a failure of the procedure -> you can try...

From my experience (I am a Host), even in this case it would be waste of your time.

But it is always an experience, you are young and you can try yourself.
No way to expect they will change the score though -> I think a full reevaluation will be a win
(but .. nobody guarantees you a better score as a result...)

I included gender as a part of a case study; it makes sense for my topic and with a humanities proposal I would definitely not be able to get away with not addressing it explicitly. But I totally agree that ‘forcing’ it into a proposal where it’s not really relevant is nonsense, and we shouldn’t be made to jump through hoops like this.

@Bren what I find strange is that we have heard of so many rejections compared to acceptances. Even with a 15% success rate, it would seem as if acceptances had been under reported in the forum?

Also, its likely that once some people get acceptance their interest in posting on this forum evaporates...

Or some have no access to privileged information of ncp or host institute.. And are still waiting.
