Projects, reports and evaluation reports I read. A friend of mine was not funded for a 0,1 just for not having mentioned IPR, which was totally irrelevant. The following year she submitted the same project and she got it just there were more funding.
What's IPR?
Intelectual property

Thanks. I didn't address this at all as it's in no way relevant, but neither did the two colleagues in my area who were successful in the past. So hopefully this is not a problem...

It wont hurt you as much as it would if you were humanities, but you really should have put something in about gender, even if only to make the case that its not relevant, a few lines even. Worst case scenario, its great learning for your next funding application.

What is your topic? Despite Dan's opinion, I know about these matters.

Like what? "Climate change affects both males and females?" Wouldn't that just be pathetic? :)

Yes, I guess humanities and social sciences are more obligated to do this... Anyway, I thought about it when I read the guidelines, I reached the conclusion that it wasn't relevant for my proposal. That's it. Perhaps I should have said that I'm a woman going with two male professors and I will represent a minority... Hahahaha

I refuse to do these things, man!

I applied to the LIF panel and the people from the OIP in the host recommended to add few sentences about this. Just to say that it was irrelevant and that people involved in my proposal would be selected based on their experience and knowledge.

"Research demonstrates that health and social outcomes for females in developing countries are significantly lower than for males. Climate change exacerbates this widening gap between the genders. Therefore, in addition to the main research objectives stated above, this research can provide insight into gender specific effects of the change in climate, and consequent impacts for...."
