Some observations:

-According to the sample you collected, 60% got acceptance. That's remarkable and good news for people writing here, as evidence suggest that conditional on participating in writing in this forum, you get a much higher chance of success.
-You indicate two dates for ranking, 12 January and 24 January. There are 12 days separating the two. So unless we get a second update on 10 February, its not exactly certain what is happening this year.

I got ranked early, earliest on this forum I think (or at least I noticed it first), so I shall blow your theory out of the water cos I am extremely confident that I got the grant

Is there anybody get ranked before today? Perhaps, they just have no time to rank in twice.(such as 12 Jan? and today)

There were two rankings: Jan 12 and Jan 24. They correspond almost completely to being accepted and rejected.
There might be another ranking at another time - maybe tomorrow - it doesn't have to be in 12 more days! So we could still get the results on Monday.

Alternatively - but less likely - this is already the second round of ranking, and the first round happened earlier this month, but just no one on the site was ranked then.

Did anyone notice in last year’s posts the person who either works for the commission or previously did who was insisting that the timing of going evaluation/ranking means zilch? They said that everyone goes through those phases and that is not related to the result. Unfortunately they got annoyed with us and left the forum

I have been sneaking for a long time without creating a user, just learning from your shared wisdom, but now I thought about putting a word after this small research project. Your hypothesis seem totally plausible, and none of the data seems to contradicts it. This year could work differently, but it seems that last call worked like this
By the way, I am still in EVALUATION, and this is the second time I submit the project after getting around 90.

My speculation is that for "ranked" we cannot say anything as the process this year happened too fastly. Maybe we have more elements for the "evaluation" status... but too fuzzy to say something

Somewhere in the range of 20 to 40% of folks, depending on panel, don't make the 70% threshold. That just boggles the mind.
