megasphaera wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:07 pmWell, as always in life, there are good evaluators and bad evaluators. As said previously on this thread, there are 10000 proposals to review and not so many evaluators. At the end, people needs simply to be professional, and not complaining of not having enough time. You apply to be an evaluator, it is not like a journal review where they ask you to do it for free. So i do not really understand this guy.
Mscaif wrote: ↑Mon Jan 28, 2019 4:01 pmBecause this guy really needs 450 euro.We can send this to the EU commission and show them how the evaluators do their job. very seriously

Jesus guys
Of course you will be happy and forget all the problems!!! It will be very hard to fight the system! Anyway, I think any researcher is smart enough to know that getting a grant is luck (for the most part). I imagine there always will be few people still stuck with "college mentality", that goes and say "I am so smart!".
Back to previous with the tweet from the evaluator: that makes me sick. Months preparing and writing and this person could not organize his time better. They gave them few weeks to evaluate I think, so i don't understand how you can do it the last day. You can imagine the way he evaluated the proposal: quick so he can go back to his kids. Do not misread my words, I also have a kid so i can imagine, but we are talking of the career of someone else.

Hi Brendan,
We are expecting the results within the next week – the official guidance was that it would be in the first week of February.
Best wishes,

That's so sad. My NCP said the result is not out but she could help me check the status and inform me. But she has no time table when the result will be released.
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
So the date is Monday February 4th!

I have a job waiting for me outside of academia and I'm under pressure to accept or not. This is most inconvenient.
