I also applied for UK, and I read quite a lot about the Brexit situation recently.

So heres my understanding:

In the case that the backstop is accepted and Theresa May gets her deal accepted by parliament (unlikely), all will be fine with MCSA for the next few years.

In the case of a no deal Brexit (which is looking very likely) EU funding arrangements with UK stop immediately. That means that your fellowship will be cancelled right away, even if you have started your fellowship and moved to the UK. However, if you are British and got an MCSA to study in a EU country, the UK govt will take over the funding obligations and you will be able to continue your research.

So, if people like you and I get the MCSA to go to UK, there is a very significant chance it will be cancelled in 2019.

I got this info from reading various blogs on UK university websites. Do a google search and you will find similar.

So, before the result, let's talk about your country you apply for?
I apply for Britain, I really scared and don't know whether brexit will affect the final result.
O.....I really don't realize this, cause I just see from the H2020, where they state Brexit will not affect the funding of the fellowship.
My proposed PI was also said that the funding of the fellowship may be tricky because of Brexit!
Anyway, let's wait for the final result first, maybe is the rejection.

From my reading, it all comes down to whether they can agree on an exit deal. Brexit agreements cover all this funding stuff so we will be fine, but with a 'No Deal Brexit' it all comes crashing down. I hope I am wrong.

Well... thanks... in such bunch, I am sure, you could find from wonderful to no-so-wonderful individuals

Anyway, here I am writing another fellowship, deadline next week. This one is a Spanish one. Wonderful weekend ahead (I cannot do it in the work week, as my lecturer duties do not allow me to rest for a minute).

I thought that if you get EU funding and are in the UK the British government will commit to fund such grants... This is what someone from another UK university told me for the ERC grants, do not know for MC though.

I live in the UK since 2010. I am applying to go back to my country, Spain. Brexit is one of the reasons for this decision, although not the only one. Will see if I get it and have the opportunity to have a job back home.

The Spanish people are a wonderful bunch.

The most of winners had a host in the UK. Will EU share the most of money from MSCA fund with UK after Brexit? They should direct money to other less "problematic" MS and AC :P .

Not sure what you mean here, since this language [still] sounds like Chinese to me, but thank you for sharing your info with us and fingers crossed they really communicate the outcome on Monday!

Cut off scores might increase this year since the weighting of the reintegration and career restart panels increased.

It means funding thresholds (the lowest score a funded project) for those panels will be higher this year.

Yes, I didn't mean to doubt your word, just that I assume they are extremely busy and would not be surprised if they didn't manage on time. Thank you again :) and good luck everyone!
