No change in mine, access is the same as usual...

...maybe its just you, they say they notify the winners first!

Hi guys, results are coming! Grants section is very slow. I can't access the pdf documents and the "informed" status disappeared!

My access was restored, so maybe its a false alarm...
In any case, results should come soon (next couple of days?) I remember, in previous years there were problems in accessing the participants portal at random times and for random people, close to the true release date.

Following on with previous thread on becoming a lecturer or a PI in general, getting funding is essential. Unfortunately, at least in the life sciences context, you also need to publish a lot and in high impact factor journals. I am sure that getting a Marie Curie, a EMBO, FEBS or any other fellowship is going to give you a competitive edge, but if you are competing with someone to get your first grant as a PI, and this someone has one or several high impact factor papers (nature, science or cell) as a first author and co-author, evaluators are always going to see that person in a "different light".

Of course if you a have a prestigious fellowship and high impact factor papers. well that's a different story.

I have a PhD in the biomedicine field, 5 published papers, a book chapter, i was awarded two fellowships to study abroad during bachelor's and master's degree, one awarded PhD fellowship, and i presented my work to several international conferences. Three of these papers are first author papers that i have produced during my PhD and published in internationally respected journals in my field (5-6 IF), plus i have another one in preparation. During a recent evaluation for a different fellowship, i was told that my CV is competitive but not outstanding; one of the evaluator said that i should have published more during my career (6 years so far, if we consider one year master's degree thesis, 4 years PhD and one year Postdoc) and that i have limited funding success. Now, I know that my publication history and my CV is not outstanding, but to be honest, at least in the biomedicine field, i do not know many PhD students that have published 3 or more papers, and god only knows how hard is doing your thesis, publishing and getting more and more work from your PI. Evaluators should relax some times and remember at what stage they were during their PhDs, and not pretend that a person (after an extensive training programme such master's plus PhD degree) has lots of publications, prizes, funded grants and invitations to give talks around the globe.

They are indeed working on the background. I've been on the reserve list of the 2017 application and I've just got a rejection mail from the 2017 application. My guess is that by the end of this week or beginning of next one, we should get the results of the 2018 applications...

Yeah, probably they have to end with the 2017 process before releasing the 2018 results.
