Dear friends, colleagues and postdocs fighters, I would like to thank you for all the kind moments, jokes and support there. Many liters of different kinds of alcohol are in the game.
A lot of years ago I learn that we must be as first human beings, nothing more. All positive things are a big plus for all of us. Big things will happen soon for some of us.
But at least many thanks.I enjoyed so much with this community!!!
Best of luck to all.
Jesus.. It sounds like you are writing your last will
But indeed this place is awesome and no matter what will be the outcome I will miss it (isn't it a bit like Stockholm syndrome ?)

Is there a way to find out when the phase field changed from 'evaluation' to 'ranking'?
In the first attempt we were continuously checking the magic link and as soon as someone got their phase changed they posted. Based on the timing of these posts we have speculated. There was one guy from my panel chemistry , whose proposal Id was greater than mine but went on n to ranking earlier than me . He got 96 something. I remember his I'd was academic guru.. something like that
Hi Guys,
@ MC CHEM, indeed it was me and I am very much enjoying my time with my MC project
.
I got 96.4 in the CHEM panel MSCA 2018. That time results come on the last say (I think it was 12 Feb 2019), we were all very anxious and kept trying magic link and all sorts of theories came out. Even on the results day ppl said that accepted proposals will get an email earlier, mailing started at midnight and I did not get any email till 3 am so slept thinking I am rejected, and the next morning when I woke up at 7 am, et voila 3 emails saying that your proposal has reached the stage of the grant agreement/preparation.
My message: Just relax, stop speculations, magic links, phase, ranking, evaluation, etc.....everything is useless. I wish you all the best!
Haha! Great to see that you are still looking this forum. Best wishes to your MC project

the funniest part of the forum is we know only a tiny tiny fraction of us will get the grant yet we seek to reassure everyones nerves in every situation. Im not saying its a bad thing, its just very illogical for a group of researchers ...

I started a thread where we can just identify ourselves as still in "evaluation" - then we can at least feel some solidarity in numbers, even as the main thread of full wild speculation rolls on.

I think that there is selection bias in the group. A higher % of this group is funded than the general pool of applicants; these are motivated people who worked hard on their applications and so have found the forum while they obsess about the result!
But many of us will be disappointed. Me, I think, for the third and final time . . .

This topic is very interesting and one can find some useful information. I just wish the newcomers (like myself no later than yesterday) could spend just a bit of time reading the last 20-30 pages (it is not that long) instead of asking the same questions over and over again...

Finally someone showed that she/he is a RESEARCHER and made a 2 min research in the forum instead of asking question 'My status is FINAL? ' or 'What is a magic link'
