2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
My next new year resolution : waiting 153 days without losing my cool
I lost this year, both the grant and my cool :/
Well, still need the official result but I am sure I will mot get score higher than 92.6

The portal shows that we are now 151 days out of 153 days that takes for them to inform us... But I don't know shit... Hell, MSCA and NCP guys don't know shit... Seems REA has delayed the release for some reason...
I hope tomorrow night will be end of story. Hopefully a good end

Well unless you forgot a whole section of the proposal, that's impossible to know... so there's hope
Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
As opposed to you guys, I have some hopes left, because it is a lottery
I have received so many rejection so far, I cannot count... guess what, the same exact proposal got funded when submitted by a professor (of course, he did it without me, which made me who I am today, insane)...

well, i am in Ranking, so at least my score is above 70, but I have reread my proposal and compare with last year proposal that got 95%, my proposal will not score that high, i will be extremely lucky to get 90.
In any case, this is my first attempt, but i spent few months for preparation. I read several guidelines online, the only problem was my host doesnt have previous succesful experience and during that time, i didnt have an example of succesful proposal. I am quite proud about the proposal thou, but comparing with the succesful proposal, i know there are several shortcomings...
Till next year then...

New here, I might miss something important in tons of posts before.
Do you guys suggest that you will get rejected if you did not address Gender issues in your proposals?? I remember the guidline says this is not mandatory. OR the evelvator uses such excuse to reject you, simply because he/she did not like your proposal.
Any lucky guys could appear to confirm such "no gender issue-rejection" theory? I need you.
Very sad, in order to meet the 10 pages limit, I removed the seemly irrelevant 'gender issue' paragrah from my final version

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
I had a similar thought about removing the gender issues paragraph to shorten the proposal a bit, but I was strongly suggested to keep it even to just say that gender is completely irrelevant for the project... I have no idea how important that paragraph is, so I don't know what to say
As other people suggested before, it may be subjective from the evaluator point of view (even if they say criteria are objective, a human evaluator cannot be objective), and might be used as an excuse to lower the score if they don't like the project, but it's difficult to predict what could happen in any specific case. So let's hope you have a very strong proposal and it doesn't matter anyway

What kind of project do you have? Does it involve human subjects?

IF-ENV, No human subjects. I don't think my proposal involves any gender issues.michelef wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 3:13 amWhat kind of project do you have? Does it involve human subjects?

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)
The proposal template is very clear that the gender paragraph is mandatory for research involving human subjects... If not, hopefully it may be ok anyway not including the gender dimension
