Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
Well, just to carry on with speculations. Actually, for GF the number of application are, incredibly, almost the same 858 vs 857 (so just one less in 2018). It is true that there is a huge increase in the budget for GF, but I am not sure that there is a close link between cutoffs and funding from on...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
Well, "real" evaluation and ranking was already done in early December. We are now just in a technical phase: to prepare reports, upload and update everything in the system, and general check. The link might be misleading and my suggestion is to avoid it... for the benefit of your mental health :) T...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
I don't agree with you. If you look for people that won the fellowship, you will see that often supervisors are far from being superstars. I know personally people that won the fellowship with supervisors that are not even full professor; and I know also people supported by top institutions (e.g. Ca...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
Last year in the Excellence part, I had just a point listed as weakness: - The proposal analyses only partially the link between the most recent research work conducted by the researcher and the proposed project, therefore the project’s novelty is not convincingly demonstrated; in particular, the ne...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum

Re: Preparation Tips for Prospective Applicants
The outcomes of the process are so random, it's hard to tell. Lot of people get close to the cut-off one year only to find out that an improved proposal suffers a much weaker evaluation in the next call (even as an official resubmission). So I wouldn't worry about losing the "resubmission" mention ...

Re: Preparation Tips for Prospective Applicants
Hello. I am starting thinking about my future resubmission. I got 88,6 and apparently the cut-off in the GF SOC panel was 92,5 or something like that, so I guess it is worthy another and last try. Although my university in the EU was evaluated as of high quality in the report, I was wondering, for p...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
If someone wants to share a successful application is not breaching any confidential rule. I got some in the past and having them was very very useful to me. I don't understand the point. Hi All, I am planning to submit a proposal this year for the first time. So, I am reading forums and trying to g...

Re: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Forum
I hear you the idiot comment says I did not specify the number of journal articles I expect to submit where in reality I wrote the number of articles and also intended outlets. I had a chance to review the evaluation reports of winning projects. The comments are similar to mine yet I got 3.8 and th...
