Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

My 2 cents i believe it should be two steps and not a sing!e step process with an interview/presentation.that would help understand if the person wrote the app and is capable of responding.

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

:D :D :D the bs that is the main app and science the padding material Your procedure sounds as the ideal one, as it should be on average. Anyway, every time I think about these things I start doubting my own proposal and thinking I will not get it. At the end, the scientific/research part of the pro...

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

I think it sounds logical to be helped to get it. Every PI wants a great young researcher in his/her lab, paid by EC money, and who can also bring some extra via the indirect costs. I have seen many research groups in different universities offering position for certain research subjects, for both ...

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

Its true that ideally MSCA is a individual grant that is supposed to get one prepped for grant writing but I have also heard stories where, the title and even reference material to write the introduction was provided by the host PI. Some OCD PI's writing the grant app themselves. In my case, I propo...

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

Yikes, feeling very anxious now! Back to earlier chat - I am going for full professor not lecturer - I am not the proposed Fellow but the supervisor and tick all the other 'professor' requirements so just need to get the funding now  All good luck to everyone, please post if you hear any resu...

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

What do you mean with professorship? obtaining a position of lecturer or a position of professor? It is very confusing reading your words. I know that in roman languages lecturer is called "profesor" or similar, so perhaps you refer to lecturer... Professor is something too big to get it after a MC...

Re: 2018 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018)

Allow me to ask, why bother applying 3 years in a row? Is the academic job market really that bad or is this a project that you just really want to pursue? Had a bottle of good champagne waiting for 3 years now - this is my third attempt - 92% and 88% - so will be drinking it regardless of outcome....
