Re: ERS StG 2020
The difference between this forum and the Marie Curie forum is hilarious! You guys are so calm and collected. If you’re in need of a glimpse into the human psyche to distract yourselves on the eve of possibly getting your results, check out the Marie Curie forums on here. We were festering nest of p...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)
Yeah, to be honest you shouldn’t need so much input for the scientific or “excellence” portion of the fellowship, but you will need some help with the other bits. Your supervisor or at least someone in the institute will need to help you here as it’s a pretty important part of the application. They’...

Re: Your Opinion Please. Appreciated
I guess your situation is unique. On the one hand, the MSCA is very prestigious and great on your CV, in addition to the network you’ll make. But, on the other hand, getting EU citizenship if you don’t plan on leaving will be invaluable. While it might take longer to get in Norway, would you be elig...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)
Are you talking about the role of the supervisor in writing the application or the supervisors role in implementing the project? Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, I'm in Humanities and new to the MSCA-IF, so you can imagine how I feel! I've been reading guidelines, FAQs, blogs, and whatever source ...

Hi Everyone,
I just got a notification from the Comission that my project pre-financing payment has been processed. They just paid about two thirds of the requested amount. Is this normal?
Thanks,
Rob

Has anyone’s grant paid out yet? If so, how is it paid to the host? In a lump sum or in monthly installments?

Re: MSCA-IF awardees in 2019 and academics networking
I hope you find your answer. My host has been trying to find out the situation for taxation of these extra allowances in Ireland to absolutely no avail. Nobody could give us a straight answer. We are proceeding as if everything is taxed as regular salary just to be cautious. Hi everyone! Is there an...

Re: Transfer to New Host University
I wouldn’t have thought this was possible. The host plays a not insignificant role in your application score so moving institute means having a different unevaluated host. Also, the MSCA specifically requires moving to a different country if you’ve lived in your current country of residence for 12 m...
