Re: Starting date flexibility?

Hi everyone, Thanks to all for maintaining a supportive environment in the past weeks, congratulations to the successful applicants and good luck to everyone for your next steps. I was one of the lucky ones for this call. Right to the question: I proposed to start in 2021 and described in my gantt ...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Got the rejection letter...Rejected with very high score (94) in LIF. Reviewers comments were quite absurd. It sounds like they cannot fund many people and need to justify somehow why they don't fund you, if you are not lucky enough. I did not read anything about the Seal of Excellence.... Wow, a r...

Re: MC Salary problem in Germany

A follow-up message: Apparently the reason is that I already have ~4 years of postdoc experience before the start of the fellowship. Together with the time in my PhD, this already puts my pre-MC salary to something above a standard MC salary. The problem is solved thanks to my host - he and the chai...

Re: 2020 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020)

Hello guys, First time posting here, but following such discussions for the past 2 years. I had a doubt with regards to the 'Implementation' section. It was mentioned in my ESR last year that 'there are no clear means of verification specified for the milestones and deliverables mentioned in the Gr...

MC Salary problem in Germany

Hi all, I am writing to ask you whether any of you have problem with their host institution regarding the salary? In my case my host professor told me that our human resources dept. is not very happy that MC salary is higher than other people at a similar level and apparently they are creating some ...

Re: MSCA grant management

Thanks for the advice. Getting in touch with the ncp is a good idea indeed, never thought about that.

I will start in September 2020.

MSCA grant management

Hi all, I have a question regarding how the grant is managed. Specifically are the expenses need to be justified to the EC or to your host institute's purchasing norms? Is there any limit on, for example, spending on outreach activities, travels etc. or can one allocate the money for different activ...

My second application and this time I got it with 92.8 (I was in PHY). Slight improvement over last year's 86.8.

My feeling is that it all boils down to "ticking the boxes".

Cool. Did you get it? I got 91.2 first attempt.
Ah, sorry if it was not clear. Yes, I got it.
